FAR OUT Hospitality seeks a friendly Greeter/Host to be the first point of contact for guests. You will greet arrivals, manage reservations, and guide guests to tables, while using Aloha or Micros POS systems to record arrivals.

Work location is in-person with a team-driven environment. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, clear communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with a smile.

Qualifications

• Experience as a host/hostess or in food service/hospitality is required.
• Strong customer service mindset with a positive guest focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse guests.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
• Hospitality or guest services background is a plus.
• Able to multitask calmly under pressure while remaining friendly.
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest-relations best practices.

Host/Greeter Duties

• Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude upon arrival, making them feel immediately welcomed.
• Manage guest check-in procedures efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to record reservations and walk-in arrivals.
• Direct guests to their tables or designated areas while providing helpful information about the venue’s offerings.
• Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication and professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff and management to ensure smooth seating flow and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the greeting area, ensuring a polished appearance at all times.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest experience.

Skills

• Previous host/hostess experience or background in food service and hospitality environments.
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive interactions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with diverse guests.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
• Experience in hotel or guest services roles is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across hospitality settings.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure.
