Job summary

Max Downtown in Hartford, CT, is seeking a professional Host with open availability to join our fine-dining team. You will welcome guests, coordinate dining room activity, and help ensure a seamless, exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.

The ideal candidate has prior host or guest-facing experience in upscale settings, excellent communication, and a polished presence. OpenTable experience is a plus, and we offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within Max

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Host REQUIRED and/or in a guest-facing role in a fine-dining or upscale casual restaurant is strongly preferred.
• Experience with OpenTable is a PLUS

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of the dining room to ensure smooth, fast, and courteous service for guests
• Manage dining room reservations and assist in arranging parties or special events
• Provide special services for diners celebrating special occasions
• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
• Assist guests with their needs, ensuring they have an outstanding dining experience from start to finish
• Ensure the dining room is neat, clean, and organized, providing a professional environment for guests and staff alike
