Job summary

The Amalfi Llama is a vibrant, rustic live-fire steakhouse blending Italian flavors with down-to-earth dining. As a Greeter, you will warmly welcome guests, guide them to seats, and manage front-of-house interactions in a fast-paced environment.

This non-exempt role offers weekly pay, growth opportunities, and a benefits package as part of The Amalfi Llama experience. You’ll represent the brand with a friendly, professional demeanor every shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the door with a personal style and seat them professionally.
• Handle incoming telephone calls in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Maintain a clean entrance and Greeter area.
• Operate the POS system and assist servers as needed.
• Thank guests and invite return visits.

Purpose of the Position

Representing the brand at first point of contact, Greeters are a very important part of the The Amalfi Llama experience. Greet all guests with personal style, seat all guests in a professional and friendly manner, handle all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and helpful manner, maintain a clean entrance and Host area, model The Amalfi Llama retail merchandise, and greet all potential guests walking by. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the General Manager and indirectly to others in management.

Essential Job Functions

• Fast foot speed and ability to work successfully in a fast paced environment
• Genuine friendliness – greeting all guests and co-workers in such a way to make them feel welcome (i.e., a warm smile, saying hello and goodbye, thanking guests)
• Adhere to The Amalfi Llama policies (i.e., dress code)
• Memorize food, drink and rotating menus on a daily basis
• Respond to guest questions accurately and in a friendly, enthusiastic tone
• Calculate and quote accurate wait times
• Sanitize all tables and chairs/booths prior to seating
• Seat all guests providing both menus and flatware
• Assist Servers in bussing tables
• Carry drinks to the table for guests being seated from the bar
• Maintain Greeter desk and surrounding area in an orderly fashion
• Efficiently Operate the POS system
• Execute proper food and drink placement at tables
• Polish and roll silverware
• Bus tables throughout the restaurant and set tables to The Amalfi Llama Standards
• Thank all departing guests and asking them to return
