Tiki Tatsu-Ya is seeking a Host to be one of the first faces guests see and help create a welcoming dining experience with strong communication and hospitality.

You will assist with greeting guests, managing arrivals, and coordinating seating to optimize flow and service throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid food handlers and TABC certificates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prolonged periods of standing and navigating the restaurant environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stay organized and professional under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, welcoming service from arrival.
• Manage guest arrivals, walk-ins, and wait times while keeping guests informed.
• Review floor chart and covers for the shift, including large parties, to maximize table turns.
• Accurately quote wait times and keep the seating chart updated throughout the shift.
• Communicate large parties, special requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions to managers, servers, and kitchen staff.
• Work closely with FOH and kitchen teams to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
• Anticipate guest needs and handle questions or concerns quickly and professionally.
• Jump in and support other team members when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand, dining room, and restaurant environment.
• Regularly check restrooms for cleanliness and restocking.
• Complete all side work and check out with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
