Areas Hospitality USA in Atlanta is seeking a Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests and manage seating to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months in a full-service restaurant, strong English communication, and excellent guest service. You will balance guest preferences with efficiency across service stations.

Position is full-time, non-exempt with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k, as described in the posting.

Position Title: Host/Hostess

Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $16.00

Broad Functions:

Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of guests at a table that best serves their wishes and needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• 1.Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• 2.When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• 3.When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party.
• 4.Call out the name and number of the party when tables become available.
• 5.Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• 6.Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• 7.Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
• 8.Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect the table for proper presentation and completeness.
• 9.Keep accurate guess count to ensure proper and efficient seating rotation.
• 10.Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.
• 11.Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1.At least 6 months of experience in a full-service restaurant.
• 2.Verbal and written English language are essential. Able to read, speak and understand the English language to communicate with guests and take orders.
• 3.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• 6.Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
