Job summary

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is seeking a Utility Worker to support our Food & Beverage team. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, assist with dishwashing and basic prep, and ensure safe, guest-ready operations.

Training is provided and no previous experience is required. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot, and physically demanding environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dish machines and manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, trash areas, and workstations.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of all kitchen items and clean equipment.
• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners in a timely manner.
• Assist with unloading and organizing food and supply deliveries.
• Support cooks and chefs with basic prep and kitchen maintenance tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures in accordance with brand and health department standards.
• Communicate supply needs, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
