Sonesta International Hotels in New York is seeking a dedicated Utility to support our kitchen operations. The role focuses on dishwashing, sanitation, and basic food prep to ensure clean, safe, and welcoming dining environments for guests and colleagues.

You’ll operate dishwashing equipment, restock wares, follow safety guidelines, and assist with light prep. Flexibility for variable shifts and weekends is required; pay ranges from $28 to $32 per hour, with competitive benefits and employee

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in basic English.
• Ability to count and follow directions.
• Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and perform manual tasks in hot, humid environments.

Responsabilités

• Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Pre-wash items, load/unload machines, and inspect cleanliness of wares.
• Hand-wash kitchen equipment and sanitize surfaces.
• Restock cleaned wares and keep workstations organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, bar, bathrooms, and service areas.
• Remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Clean and maintain garbage compactor and trash areas.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment per safety guidelines (OSHA).
• Support basic food prep and banquet setup as needed.
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
• Report on maintenance or safety issues promptly.
