Job summary

ThrillHouse in Marion, Illinois is seeking an organized Employee Development Manager to design and oversee training programs across venue teams, enhancing guest service and operations.

You will partner with Human Resources and department managers to onboard new hires, coach ongoing development, track training metrics, and maintain records that reflect continuous improvement and a culture of service.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering employee training programs.
• Strong communication, coaching, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to tailor instruction to diverse learners and provide constructive feedback.
• Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and training systems.
• Maintain discretion with employee information.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain training programs for all ThrillHouse departments.
• Coordinate onboarding and ensure consistent, high-quality training across teams.
• Create training guides, checklists, and job aids that reflect approved procedures.
• Lead engaging individual and group training through demonstrations, hands-on practice, and coaching.
• Train employees on guest service, professional communication, teamwork, and service recovery.
• Coordinate role-specific instruction with department managers and designated trainers.
• Reinforce approved safety procedures, emergency protocols, and required training with appropriate leaders.
• Observe employee performance and gather manager feedback to identify coaching and development needs.
• Collaborate with department managers and Human Resources to align training with business goals.
• Maintain training schedules and accurate records of attendance, completion, and skill assessments.
• Track training metrics, gather feedback, and report program effectiveness to senior leadership.
• Update materials as procedures change and support a positive culture of service, accountability, and growth.
