Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking a part-time Table Service Assistant for the Williamsburg Lodge Restaurants, Traditions and Sweet Tea & Barley. You will support servers, handle table maintenance, and assist with service operations to ensure guests receive excellent hospitality.

The role requires 1–2 years in food & beverage or customer service, flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, and the ability to obtain a food handler’s card and TIPS certification.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years food & beverage experience or customer service experience.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must obtain and maintain Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and TIPS certification; provide during interview if already current.
• Physical requirements include bending, lifting, and carrying trays up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers as needed by clearing tables and stocking work stations.
• Deliver food to guest tables and assist with water/coffee service.
• Maintain buffet line and keep areas clean and organized.
• Assist host with seating guests and maintaining the coffee station.
• Perform setup and breakdown of dining room for each meal period and ensure tables are reset properly.
