Job summary

LaScala Restaurant Group in Marlton, NJ seeks a full-time on-site Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, ledger maintenance, and closings across multiple restaurant brands.

You will record journal entries, reconcile statements, process AP/AR, support payroll, and prepare basic financial reports while collaborating with operations and management to ensure accurate numbers. A degree in accounting is required; hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong general accounting skills, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor management and invoicing.
• Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks or similar), Microsoft Excel, and other standard office applications.
• Ability to prepare and review basic financial statements, support budgeting, and assist with period-end close activities.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with both finance and operations teams.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Bridgewater, NJ, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to professional and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger for multiple restaurant brands.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements and support monthly closings.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable and manage vendor relationships.
• Support payroll and expense reporting and assist with budgeting.
• Prepare basic financial reports and monitor budgets across locations.
• Collaborate with operations and management to ensure accurate financial information.
• Maintain organized financial records and support audits and internal controls.
