Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking a customer-focused Server to join our growing team in Charlottesville. You will warmly greet guests, explain menu options, and ensure an exceptional dining experience from seating to final bill.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 with prior restaurant experience, flexible to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, and able to stand for long periods while delivering attentive service and engaging hospitality.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have at least one year of restaurant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Standing/walking for long periods with occasional stooping or lifting.
• Knowledge of menu offerings and ability to discuss dietary restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, greet, and monitor guests dining experience to ensure all are satisfied with food and service, and respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Remain educated on our menu offerings and answer questions about food, beverages, dietary restrictions and other restaurant functions and services.
• Perform side work for each shift as required and maintain service areas throughout shift.
• Prepare and present final bill, process payment, and report all gratuities received to comply with IRS standards of reporting income.
