Job summary

Resorts World New York City is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead risk programs, oversee loss prevention, and supervise the risk team. The role focuses on protecting guests, Team Members, and assets while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include developing comprehensive safety policies, coordinating with insurers and legal counsel, and guiding incident investigations and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• BA/BS Degree in related field and/or a combination of experience and education with a minimum of 5 years' equivalent work experience.
• Three (3) years' experience in a supervisory position in gaming/hospitality Risk Management or related field preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer risk-management and loss-prevention programs.
• Assess potential risks that may affect reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity.
• Promote safety and health programs covering fire protection, reporting, and investigations.
• Manage staff in day-to-day performance and ensure budgets are adhered to.
• Coordinate risk control activities and develop policies and procedures.
• Oversee workers' compensation claim administration and litigation support.
• Liaise with third-party claims administrators and insurance providers.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and proper record-keeping.
