Job summary

Makena Golf & Beach Club is seeking a Purchasing & Receiving Clerk for the Procurement Department on Maui, Hawaii. The role maintains inventory counts, verifies deliveries against invoices and purchase orders, and coordinates storage until outgoing requisitions are fulfilled, ensuring accurate records and timely stock for operations.

Responsibilities include assisting in daily purchasing operations, coordinating with vendors, inspecting shipments, and supporting monthly inventories with kitchen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• Experience in purchasing or warehouse in hotel/hospitality, resort community, or distribution environment preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department.
• Assists with receiving and storeroom operations.
• Checks mail and distributes to mail room daily.
• Routes deliveries to departments as needed.
• Establishes and maintains relations with vendors.
• Inspects incoming deliveries for accuracy.
• Coordinates and assists in special purchasing projects.
• Assists with monthly inventories of all food, beverage and controllable items with kitchen and F&B staff.
• Receives and stores all incoming F&B deliveries.
• Operates forklifts to move heavy boxes.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Follows safe work policies and procedures.
• Completes other duties as assigned by management.
