Job summary

Makena Golf & Beach Club is seeking a Purchasing & Receiving Clerk to join the Procurement Department on site in Hawaii. You will manage inventory counts, verify deliveries against POs, and coordinate storage and requisitions to support daily operations.

You will work with kitchen and F&B staff on monthly inventories, maintain accurate records, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies while supporting a seamless member and staff experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous purchasing or warehouse experience in a hotel, resort, residential, or distribution environment preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Outlook.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures including Warehouse Management Systems.
• Proficient with electronic scanning equipment.
• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

• Operate forklifts to pick heavy boxes and transport them to checking area.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Completes other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Job description

This role will be located at Makena Golf and Beach Club.

Makena is seeking a Purchasing & Receiving Clerk to join the Procurement Department.

The Purchasing and Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for all incoming and outgoing product shipments. Their duties include receiving and checking incoming deliveries from vendors against product invoices and purchase orders (PO’s), organizing and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests (Requisitions) and notifying management personnel when they don’t have enough of a particular product to fulfill orders. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures all safe work policies and practices are followed.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Completes other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing or warehouse experience within a Hotel / Hospitality, Residential, Resort Community, or distribution environment preferred, but not required.

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
