Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano in Bloomington, IL is hiring a Payroll Specialist to support accurate, timely payroll operations across all locations. The role reports to the Controller and involves processing payroll, tax filings, reconciliations, and employee inquiries in a confidential environment.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and experience with payroll systems such as PayCom. This is a full-time, on-site position within a small accounting team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and minimum 1 year experience in payroll processing.
• Familiarity with payroll processes from start to finish.
• Working knowledge of payroll systems with PayCom preferred.
• Comfortable with Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Analytical mindset with good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for 21 restaurants with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Maintain payroll records and reconcile source reports.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and tax filings.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and verify information.
• Collaborate with restaurant managers and HR to ensure data accuracy.
• Assist with payroll record keeping and archival processes.
• Support audit activities and compliance with payroll laws.
