Job summary

Union Square Cafe, part of Union Square Hospitality Group, seeks an Operations Manager to drive cost controls, purchasing efficiency, and system-wide standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will partner with Supply Chain, Analytics, Facilities and restaurant leadership to maintain budgets, improve profitability, and ensure accurate period closes. Strong leadership and change-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience driving hospitality operations with focus on cost management.
• Ability to collaborate with Supply Chain, Analytics, Facilities and restaurant leadership.
• Strong planning, training, and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee COGS optimization, purchasing decisions, pricing, and spending.
• Develop and maintain purchasing systems, SOPs, and training.
• Monitor COGS KPIs and maintain inventory records.
• Coordinate with Finance and Accounting for closes and accruals.
• Manage vendor relationships and projects from approval to completion.
• Lead implementation of new technology and procedures with clear communication.
