Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Culinary Arts, Business, Recreation, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work weekends/Saturdays during peak summer operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support guest check-in/check-out and reservation processes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and visitors.
  • Assist with food and beverage service operations.
  • Support restaurant, snack shop, and bar activities.
  • Help coordinate family activities and guest entertainment programs.
  • Assist with merchandise sales and retail inventory management.
  • Support cabin preparation, cleaning coordination, and quality standards.
  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone, text, or in person.
  • Assist with event setup, inventory management, and ordering processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth resort operations.

We are seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Hospitality Operations Interns to join a family-owned lakeside resort in northern Minnesota. This internship is ideal for candidates interested in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Food & Beverage, Culinary Operations, Guest Services, or Resort Management. This immersive internship provides hands-on experience across multiple operational areas of a resort environment, offering broad exposure to hospitality, recreation, guest engagement, and resort operations.

The resort features lakeside cabin rentals, recreational amenities, dining services, and family-friendly guest experiences in Bemidji, Minnesota. The property includes a restaurant, snack shop, retail operations, outdoor recreation activities, and a seasonal beach club. Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Culinary Arts, Business, Recreation, or a related field

  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work weekends and Saturdays during peak summer operations
Preferred qualifications
  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, resort, retail, or customer service experience
