Responsibilities

In the role of Hospitality Manager (HM), you are responsible for ensuring a well-maintained community with excellent service to our residents. You have a complete understanding of how important hospitality services are to residents. You direct the dining room and housekeeping teams and set the tone for making mealtimes unique and memorable, ensuring residents are delighted with their housekeeping services.

  • Hire, orient, schedule, train, coach, and counsel dining room waitstaff and housekeeping staff.
  • Lead Sales while Manager on Duty each week, including responding to inquiries, conducting and following up on tours, and completing lease signings.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and in a friendly manner, transferring calls appropriately.
  • Provide timely feedback and performance management to the team.
  • Manage labor and supplies budgets and expenses.
  • Manage schedules based on resident census and budgets, controlling overtime.
  • Provide high-level customer service, creating a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and General Manager/Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food, service, and housekeeping.
  • Review daily menus with residents and staff, coordinating room service as needed.
  • Support building inspections, quality checks, and ensure compliance with safety rules.
  • Train team on company standards for cleanliness, sanitation, appearance, service, and satisfaction.
  • Ensure all tables are set according to standards.
  • Address issues proactively to prevent problems or complaints.
  • Act as “Manager on Duty” when the GM/Director is unavailable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in front-of-house roles, including managing staff, recruiting, customer service, scheduling, budgeting, and expenses.
  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to carry a tray with at least 4 meals or beverages.
  • Ability to clean apartments and dining areas as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company or personal vehicle.
  • Must meet company’s motor vehicle standards and complete all required training.
