Job summary

Ascent Hospitality in West Lafayette, IN seeks a Maintenance Team Member to manage building and infrastructure maintenance across hotel properties. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with custodial duties as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have prior maintenance experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or training in a similar role preferred.
• Must be organized and have good time management skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English and communicate with guests and Team Members of other departments.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to take direction and carry out instructions.
• Must comply with standardized procedures with limited variables.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Identify maintenance and repair issues and initiate work orders.
• Report and follow up on maintenance deficiencies.
• Complete work orders and repairs as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain mechanical logs.
• Resolve guest problems and handle requests promptly.
• Complete duty rounds checklists and address noted problems.
• Use EMS and Life Safety Systems correctly (training provided).
• Be cross-trained across department.
• Follow Center policies and maintain effective communication with operations.
