Job summary

The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA is seeking an organized Human Resources Coordinator to support onboarding, recruitment, recordkeeping, and payroll processing within a hotel environment.

This role emphasizes confidentiality, compliance with employment laws, and excellent service to associates and leaders. Strong knowledge of HR practices and proficiency in MS Office are required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Human Resources experience is required.
• Prior hotel or resort experience preferred.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities including posting positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
• Assist with pre-employment processes, including background checks and new hire documentation.
• Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with document retention requirements.
• Process employee status changes, pay changes, transfers, leaves of absence, and separations.
• Generate reports and maintain HR databases and tracking logs.
• Monitor compliance-related requirements including I-9s, training certifications, etc.
• Maintain organized HR office operations and documentation.
