Job summary

Rooster’s Wood Fired Kitchen Uptown, part of Noble Food and Pursuits, is hiring a Host to greet guests, manage the front door flow, and coordinate seating using OpenTable. This entry point role is ideal for someone who is naturally welcoming and eager to learn the fundamentals of polished restaurant service.

We offer hands-on training, employee dining discounts, mentorship, and a team-oriented environment built on professionalism and support. Pay range is $12 to $15 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay composed in a busy environment.
• Welcoming personality with a genuine hospitality mindset.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Previous host or guest service experience is helpful but not required.
• Interest in learning the foundation of restaurant service and growing within hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism and create a strong first impression.
• Manage the flow of the front door while balancing reservations, walk ins, wait times, and guest needs.
• Prepare and organize the correct menus for each service period.
• Use OpenTable to manage reservations, answer guest questions, and support takeout coordination.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional host stand.
• Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and kitchen team members to support smooth service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and help keep the front of house organized throughout the shift.
