Job summary

Marriott Denver Tech Center Hotel, part of Sage Hospitality Group, is seeking a host to deliver thoughtful service and uphold the promise of “Wonderful Hospitality. Always.” This role requires weekend/holiday availability and open shifts.

Under supervision, you will greet guests, take orders, ensure timely service, and maintain cleanliness while upholding health standards. Training emphasizes courtesy, accuracy, and a welcoming demeanor in a bustling dining environment.

Qualifications

• Must know standard cash-handling procedures.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers and serve them.
• Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience.
• Complete restocking and cleaning duties during opening/closing.
• Memorize menu items and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant, wait station and service areas.
• Handle guest checks accurately and document orders clearly.
• Ensure accurate payment processing and safeguarding of guest information.
• Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to stay informed.
• Respond to inquiries with timely and knowledgeable information.
• Present a clean, professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
