Job summary

The University Guest House & Conference Center at the University of Utah is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Technician II to perform routine and moderately complex repairs across guest rooms, public spaces, and conference facilities.

You will work in a hospitality setting with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks, coordinating with senior staff and vendors as needed. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, safety, and dependable service.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance in hotel, hospital, or higher education settings.
• Ability to perform routine and moderately complex repairs across multiple trades.
• Strong focus on guest experience, safety, and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and moderately complex maintenance in guest rooms, public spaces, and conference facilities.
• Handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems tasks.
• Complete preventative maintenance and document repairs and inspections.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize guest disruption.
