Job summary

Safta’s Table in New Orleans is seeking a friendly Server to deliver warm, attentive service from greeting guests through processing payments. You’ll communicate menu details, ingredients, and allergens, and collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure a smooth, welcoming dining experience.

Experience in hospitality is preferred. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, stand for long periods, and handle guest payments with care while upholding food-safety and service standards.

• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly and promptly.
• Guide guests through the menu and provide recommendations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu ingredients, prep methods, specials, beverages, and allergens.
• Enter orders into the point-of-sale system accurately.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while following service standards.
• Monitor tables, anticipate needs, and provide attentive service.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Communicate dietary restrictions and special requests clearly to kitchen staff.
• Present guest checks and process payments.
• Maintain clean tables and service stations throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and general cleaning.
• Support with food running and table maintenance to promote teamwork.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and cash-handling procedures.
