Job summary

Digs Dog Care in Burnsville, MN is seeking a friendly Groom Tech to support grooming services, including bathing, drying, and nail trims, while ensuring safe handling of dogs of all sizes.

You’ll assist senior groomers, cross-train for kennel and daycare duties, maintain a clean workspace, and deliver a hospitality-first experience to pets and their parents. Flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays is available.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in caring for dogs and animal handling.
• Knowledge of dog behavior and body language.
• Familiarity with grooming tools and safe handling.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Available for holidays and at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Groom duties: bathing, drying, and nail trims.
• Assist groomers with handling dogs during grooming.
• Cross-train as kennel tech and assist in other areas.
• Monitor health, coat condition, and behavior; report concerns.
• Deliver hospitality-first experience to dogs and pet parents.
• Keep stations clean; sanitize equipment between dogs.
• Follow feeding, medication, and allergy protocols.
• Assist lobby with customer relations and information.
• Contribute to team culture and overall pet wellbeing.
