Job summary

SSP America is seeking a Dishwasher to help maintain a clean and safe dining environment in a fast-paced setting. You will clean surfaces, stock areas, and assist guests with requests to ensure smooth service between seatings.

Applicants should have English reading and speaking ability, be able to stand for long periods, and have basic prior experience in retail or food service. A high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in retail or food service.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication required.
• Must read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving guest service is a plus.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (floors, walls, etc.).
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables and transport service-ware to the kitchen.
• Wash dishes by hand or using dishwasher and return to storage.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Assist guests with requests and communicate needs to server/supervisor.
• Load/unload supply trucks between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.
• Other duties as assigned.
