Job description

Striv Designs is seeking a Hospitality Design Project Lead to guide active hotel design projects from design development through procurement and construction coordination. This is an opportunity for an experienced interior designer who is ready to take greater ownership of projects while staying closely connected to the creative and technical work.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage schedules, design milestones, deliverables, approvals, and open action items for two to three hospitality projects.
  • Coordinate with ownership, interior designers, architects, brand teams, contractors, vendors, and procurement.
  • Track schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and construction document (CD) submissions, and follow through on brand and ownership comments.
  • Review drawings and specifications for coordination, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) specifications, samples, shop drawings, mockups, and approvals.
  • Lead routine design coordination meetings and document decisions and next steps.
  • Identify schedule, scope, budget, and coordination concerns early, and elevate decisions that require the Director of Design or ownership.
  • Provide Procurement with approved specifications, quantities, alternates, revisions, and required delivery dates.
  • Support value engineering while preserving approved design intent and brand requirements.
  • Assist with model rooms, site reviews, installations, and design-related construction questions.
  • Provide regular project updates to the Director of Design and senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For
  • A strong interior design foundation and an understanding of how hospitality projects move from concept through documentation, procurement, and construction.
  • Approximately two to three years or more of hospitality interior design or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and assess design documentation, communicate with varied stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the initiative to anticipate coordination needs and move projects forward independently.

Previous overall project leadership experience is helpful but is not required. If you are an interior designer ready to grow beyond primarily producing drawings and specifications, this role offers a path into project and design leadership.
