Job description

This Hospitality Assistant is a dynamic, on-site position that supports the Ranch’s guest-facing operations. The Assistant will work closely with the Hospitality Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day rhythms: assisting with the booking process, receiving guests, maintaining common spaces, and providing redundant support for housekeeping, foodservice, retail, and grounds personnel. Key responsibilities include greeting & orienting guests, assisting with meal turnout & cleanup, lodge & cottage care, organizing guest activities, filling in at the ranch store, and being a positive brand ambassador. The ideal candidate has food service and/or housekeeping experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, service-oriented attitude. Workloads vary with occupancy, ranging from single family bookings to 40 person events. Flexibility in schedule (to include evenings, mornings, and weekends) and scope of work is essential. Housing is included.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide support to the Hospitality Manager by proactively handling delegated tasks and responsibilities.

Conduct check-ins with Hospitality Department staff to determine where extra support may be needed: assisting with laundry and/or the occasional room flip, ordering necessary supplies, deep cleaning projects, grounds care, etc.

Use the ResNexus booking software to support reservation and guest management processes.

Manage the lodge common areas: maintain a clean & welcoming environment, communicate maintenance needs, and order supplies.

Support all aspects of the guest experience to ensure a high standard of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Assist foodservice personnel with meal turnout and clean-up.

Cover shifts in the ranch store, if needed.

Required Qualifications:

2 or more years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Working knowledge of both FoH & BoH service norms.

Prior experience using commercial foodservice and/or housekeeping equipment (ovens, stoves, dishwashers, refrigeration units; vacuums, steam cleaners, and/or laundry machines).

Computer literacy: Google Workspace, Canva, and ability to perform independent online research & shopping tasks.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Strong communication skills that convey warmth, knowledge, and confidence to guests.

Ability to work constructively within a team.

1 or more seasons living & working in a remote location among coworkers.
Other Desired Qualifications:

POS system savvy (Square, Shopify).

Proficient and active on social media platforms.

Culinary training and knife skills.

Prior experience in a role requiring personal initiative and minimal supervision.

Interest in sustainable, organic, and/or biodynamic agriculture.
