Job summary

ONEHOPE Winery at Estate 8 in Rutherford, Napa Valley, seeks a Hospitality & Sales Specialist to deliver world-class guest service, lead engaging wine tastings, and drive sales of our wines and experiences.

You will share our story, educate guests on wine varietals and tasting notes, coordinate tastings and private events, and help build lasting brand loyalty while partnering with the culinary team and front-of-house staff.

Qualifications

• Wine education certification or industry equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality, wine service, or wine sales.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Willingness to learn and utilize hospitality and sales software (TOCK, Google Workspace, POS).
• Maintain a clean, polished appearance per ONEHOPE standards.
• Able and flexible to work weekends and evenings as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

ONEHOPE Winery at Estate 8 is located in Rutherford, Napa Valley, where we we deliver a purpose-driven experience centered around our passion for exceptional wines and our mission to give back. As a Hospitality & Sales Specialist, you will be a key ambassador of the ONEHOPE brand, providing world-class guest service, leading engaging wine tastings, and driving sales at our estate. In this role, you will create memorable and educational experiences for every guest by sharing our story, guiding wine tastings, and promoting our 20/20 Collective allocation. You'll play an essential part in building brand loyalty, increasing wine sales, and supporting day-to-day tasting room operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. This role blends hospitality, wine education, and sales, requiring excellent communication skills, a passion for storytelling, and a strong commitment to delivering elevated guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Wine Education:

• Deliver exceptional, world-class customer service in both private and group tasting settings.
• Guide guests through engaging wine tastings and food pairings while sharing the story, mission, and wines of ONEHOPE.
• Positively and enthusiastically communicate brand history, winemaking techniques, and tasting notes.
• Stay informed on wine industry trends and participate in regular training sessions to deepen product and wine knowledge.
• Represent the winery at on-site and off-site events as needed.

Sales & Allocation Promotion:

• Actively promote and sell ONEHOPE wines, experiences, and our 20/20 Collective allocation.
• Achieve personal and team sales goals through educational and skilled sales techniques.
• Support CRM efforts by building meaningful guest relationships, collecting guest feedback and maintaining post-visit engagement.

Tasting Room & Event Operations:

• Set up and break down tastings, private events, and wine dinners according to brand standards.
• Ensure glassware, place settings, and service equipment meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to time food and wine service for an exceptional guest experience.
• Follow daily opening, closing, and safety protocols; maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests and fellow team members alike.
• Administrative tasks including guest communications, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
• Regular, skilled use of POS system and reservation system.

Qualifications:

• Wine education certification or industry equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in hospitality, wine service, or wine sales with minimum 3 years experience.
• Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wine, food pairings, and wine production and operations.
• Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance in accordance with ONEHOPE’s personal presentation and hospitality standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
