Job summary

Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager for a 223-room full-service Hilton hotel in Baton Rouge. You will oversee daily accounting operations, drive accurate financial reporting, and ensure compliance with Hilton standards while mentoring accounting staff.

The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning, collaborating with department heads to optimize financial performance and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel environments.
• Prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial reporting practices.
• Experience with Hilton systems (e.g., PEP, R&I, Simphony).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash handling procedures.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Monitor hotel revenues, expenses, and forecasts; provide analysis to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, internal audit requirements, and local/state regulations.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes.
• Collaborate with department heads to improve financial performance and cost controls.
