Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP invites applications for an Accounting Internship Summer 2027 in Irving, TX. You will join the Select Service Accounting team, supporting AP/AR functions and PO reviews, and contribute to monthly close activities.

The 10-week program runs June to August and provides hands-on exposure to hotel financials, with Excel-driven reporting and cross-functional collaboration. Interns reside in Dallas and work onsite in Irving.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or a similar degree.
• Minimum Junior status.
• Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must be organized with the ability to work accurately in a time efficient manner.
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June to August).
• Must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite in Irving, TX.
• Salary - $20/hour for 40-hour week, with a duration of 10 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Learn how the Accounting team functions at Highgate.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Assist with reviewing purchase orders for accurate GL coding.
• Support monthly financial reporting, journal entries, and P&L reviews.
• Assist with various accounting projects and initiatives.
• Multitask and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and financial information.
