Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking an Accounting Generalist to join our finance team. The role focuses on ensuring precise financial data, supporting operations, and working closely with cross-functional teams across departments.

You will manage ad hoc accounting tasks, cash handling, payroll distribution, and assist in reporting. A degree in accounting or related field and hospitality experience are preferred, with opportunities for growth within Loews.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in accounting/finance or hospitality preferred.
• Hospitality accounting experience a plus.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ad hoc accounting activities in support of operations and Financial Director.
• Banking and auditing cash boxes; daily deposits and petty cash.
• Organize and distribute paychecks as directed.
• Attend pre-convention and client billing review meetings.
• Handle storeroom/receiving per procedures and verify receipts.
• Ensure licenses/permits are renewed timely; track expirations.
• Transmit daily check logs to shared services.
• Assist in reports preparation and distribution.
• Maintain files and distribute information to shared services.
• Answer inquiries and support special projects for the Finance Director.
