Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an MD/DO internist to provide inpatient care at our Boston facilities. This full-time role requires completion of Internal Medicine residency and a Massachusetts medical license, with on-site duties and day/night shifts.

The position includes teaching medical students, interns, and residents (minimum 50 hours per year) and opportunities to contribute to quality improvement initiatives within a collaborative hospital system in the Boston area.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent degree is required or acceptable.
• Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine.
• Mass Medical license.
• Hours may vary based on day/night shift.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, or provide continuous care to medically complex hospital inpatients.
• Order or interpret the results of tests such as laboratory tests and radiographs (x-rays).
• Admit and discharge patients for hospital stays; refer patients to medical specialists, social services, or other professionals as appropriate; participate in continuing education activities to maintain or enhance knowledge and skills.
• Direct or support quality improvement projects or safety programs.
• Minimum of 50 hours a year of teaching medical students, interns, and residents.*Hours may vary based on day/night shift.
