Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) seeks BC/BE Internists to join the academic Hospital Medicine Unit. Attendings will provide inpatient care, teach Harvard Medical School learners, and work with residents and APPs across multiple clinical service lines.

Opportunities for academic appointment and ongoing professional development are emphasized. Roles include hospitalist/nocturnist positions, with full-time or part-time options.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Three-year Internal Medicine residency completed.
• Massachusetts medical license and Board certification.
• DEA, ACLS, CRS certifications required; ABIM certification or eligible within 1 year.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Attending with admitting privileges at the largest quaternary transplant center in the region.
• Provide direct inpatient care and coordinate care plans with nurses, specialists, and PCPs.
• Collaborate with MGH IM residents, APPs, and learners to support clinical decisions.
• Attend monthly Hospital Medicine Unit conferences and related meetings.
• Engage in quality improvement and system-level initiatives.
