Job summary

Sound Physicians invites you to join our Gary, Indiana hospital medicine team. You will provide patient-centered inpatient care within a collaborative two-hospitalist model with an APP, and coordinate admissions, rounds, and transitions using Epic EMR.

The role offers day and night shifts with flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, relocation assistance, CME allowances, malpractice tail coverage, and visa sponsorship options for eligible physicians.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in family medicine or internal medicine.
• Active medical license or eligible to obtain Indiana licensure.

Responsibilities

• Day hospitalists round on patients and perform admissions as part of a two-hospitalist team with an APP.
• Although no procedures are required, you will run codes and rapid responses.
• Admit patients to the ICU and consult with an intensivist; cross-credentialing with sister location in Merrillville.
