Job summary

SageWest Health Care in Wyoming is actively seeking an experienced Hospitalist to join our open ICU team with strong support and flexible scheduling. The role potentially includes 24-hour shifts, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts at the same rate.

Candidates should be BC/BE in Internal Medicine, licensed in WY with DEA authority, and willing to reside in the community to support scheduling flexibility. Chest tube management is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Internal Medicine.
• Able to obtain WY medical license and DEA with full prescriptive authority.
• Must be willing to reside in the communities to allow scheduling flexibility.
• Experience in chest tube management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in an open ICU with 24-hour shifts.
• Participate in procedures such as central lines, intubations, thoracostomies, arterial lines.
• Maintain flexible scheduling and support a balanced work/life integration.

SageWest Health Care is actively recruiting an experienced Hospitalist to join our established open ICU group along with great support, a welcoming community, and a flexible scheduling for work/life balance. Combined, our Lander and Riverton facilities offer a total of 133 beds, providing comprehensive medical services to the communities for a population of over 40,000 in Fremont County, Wyoming, including 24/7 Hospitalist and emergency care, surgery, women s health, and advanced diagnostics, committed to quality, safety, and community wellness.

About The Position

• 10 shifts/month (24-hour shifts) - 10 site/14 unrestricted call
• Procedures include: central lines, intubations, thoras, paras, arterial lines; possible chest tubes
• Shift requirement can be averaged over the entire year to allow for flexibility
• Opportunity to pick up extra shifts at the same shift rate

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Internal Medicine
• Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WY and DEA with full prescriptive authority
• Must be willing and able to reside in the communities to allow for flexibility in scheduling
• Ability to manage chest tubes strongly preferred
• At least one year of experience highly desirable
