Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens coverage in Woodland, CA. Schedule includes day shifts 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and night shifts 6:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with 6–12 night shifts and 2–4 day shifts per month, plus occasional extra coverage.

Inpatient setting with open ICU and 60–90 day credentialing. Board Eligible required; Board Certified preferred; Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency required. Cerner EMR in use; California medical license required.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified is preferred; board eligibility is acceptable.
• Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency required.
• California medical license required.
• Cerner EMR experience is ideal.
• Credentialing timeframe is 60–90 days.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients from the Emergency Department and manage acute conditions.
• Daily rounding and coordination with specialists.
• Discharges and medication reconciliation.
• Review diagnostic tests and lead family meetings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds; open ICU.

Hospitalist Physician

StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10;12 Pay Rate: $174.60 - $189.00

This facility is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: January - Ongoing; day shift 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and night shift 6:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; 6–12 night shifts and 2–4 day shifts per month, with occasional additional coverage. Both providers will work a mix of day and night shifts.

Practice Setting: Inpatient

Types of Cases: Hospitalist; admitting patients from the Emergency Department, daily rounding, management of acute medical conditions, coordination with specialists, discharges, medication reconciliation, diagnostic test review, family meetings, and multidisciplinary rounds. Open intensive care unit.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days

Electronic Medical Record: Cerner

Certifications Required: Board Certified highly preferred; Board Eligible required; Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency required

Licensure Required: California medical license only

Facility Location

Woodland is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Sacramento. The area is very well irrigated and this drew people out to try their hand at farming. In fact The Gibson Mansion in Yolo County, now a historical museum, is the former home of William B. Gibson originally from Virginia who bought a lot of acreage and began to farm and raise livestock in 1857 on this huge property he had purchased.
