Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist physician for locum tenens coverage in Texas. Shifts include 7a–7p and 7p–7a with census around 17 patients per day. The team includes 2 physicians on day rounds and a NP/PA on night rounds. ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required, with credentialing typically 0–30 days. Meditech is the EMR used.

Qualifications

• Active medical license in Texas upon start.
• Board-certified Hospitalist or Internal Medicine preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist coverage in 12-hour night and day shifts.
• Manage an approximate census of 17 patients per provider per day.
• Collaborate with 2 physicians on day rounds and NP/PA on night rounds.

This facility is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
• Total census per provider per shift: 17 patients per day
• Procedures required: Procedures preferred
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
• Support: (How many other physicians and AP providers will they be working alongside?) 2 Physicians on day round; 1 Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant on night round
• Certifications and license required: (State, BC, ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• Credentialing timeframe: (Temp privileges provided?) 0-30 days
