Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens coverage in Woodland, CA, with a mix of day and night shifts.

Start ASAP; credentialing 60–90 days. Board Eligible required; Board Certified highly preferred. Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency required and California medical license. Cerner EMR; 8- to 12-hour shifts; competitive pay with malpractice insurance and travel/lodging support.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients from the Emergency Department and perform daily rounds.

• Open ICU coverage as needed

This facility is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity

Schedule: January - Ongoing; day shift 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and night shift 6:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.; 6-12 night shifts and 2-4 day shifts per month, with occasional additional coverage. Both providers will work a mix of day and night shifts.

Hospitalist; admitting patients from the Emergency Department, daily rounding, management of acute medical conditions, coordination with specialists, discharges, medication reconciliation, diagnostic test review, family meetings, and multidisciplinary rounds. Open intensive care unit.

Woodland is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Sacramento.
