Job summary

Sound Physicians seeks a Hospital Medicine Physician to join the Lenexa, Kansas team. You will provide hospitalist services in a community-based hospital with multispecialty support and collaborate closely with AdventHealth Lenexa City Center.

The role features 12-hour shifts, a strong focus on team collaboration and physician wellness, and opportunities for ongoing professional development within a supportive, patient-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Accepting new graduates, residents, and fellows.

Responsibilities

• See a wide variety of diseases with multispecialty support.
• Work with an intensivist team focusing on patient care and clinical decision‑making.
• Utilize Cerner with Dragon for dictation and access to our internal informatics platform.

Education

Local Team Collaboration

• Join our growing team of four physicians and two advanced practice clinicians at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center.
• Work alongside a diverse group of clinicians who bring a variety of geographic, educational, and training backgrounds to our team. Our advanced practice clinicians practice to the top of their scope, with support from attending physicians when needed.

Flexible Scheduling

• 12‑hour shifts; 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
• We’re always there to support each other when covering shifts.
• Full‑time employment is 182 shifts per year.

Key Responsibilities

• See a wide variety of diseases while having specialists readily available in a new community‑based hospital with multispecialty support.
• Work in coordination with an intensivist team that handles all procedures, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical decision‑making.
• Utilize Cerner with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication.
