Qualifications

• Licensed Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania is required.

Job Summary: Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Internal Medicine physician for the Department of Hospital Medicine in Jersey Shore, PA.

Job Duties:

1. Shift: Days
2. Schedule: 7am - 7pm
3. ICU: Open
4. Procedures: Not Required

Geisinger Jersey Shore is a Level IV trauma center with 25 accredited beds and a helipad for transport of critically injured patients to higher-level facilities. As a hospitalist, you'll have access to advanced medical technology and resources, with opportunities for research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.

Position Details:

• Interview patients to obtain symptoms, medical histories, and family histories. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Diagnose and develop treatment plans for injuries and illnesses. Prescribe or administer medications. Maintain and review patient records.
• Work primarily in a clinical and office environment, adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Additional department-specific competencies may be required.
