St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Hospitalist for per diem coverage on Long Island.

The role focuses on acute inpatient care with a 7-day block schedule and collaboration with attending physicians to deliver high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates hold a Doctorate in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine with ACLS/BLS certification and board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
• ACLS/BLS certification is required.
• Trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients with a Rapid Response Team.
• Works in a 7 day Block schedule in a collegial environment.
• Provides full or partial hospitalist services to private attending physicians.
• Attends monthly Hospitalist Meetings.
• Participates in quality and Patient Experience committees.
• Manages an average patient caseload of 15-17 patients.
• Adapts to CMS regulations.

Hospitalist Responsibilities

• Provides and manages the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients alongside an excellent ancillary staff with a Rapid Response Team
• Works in a collegial and professional environment in a 7 day Block schedule
• Provides full or partial services to private attending physicians who elect to utilize the Hospitalist Services
• Attends monthly Hospitalist Meetings
• Involved in quality as well as Patient Experience committees
• Works in a team environment
• Provides high quality care
• Manages an average patient caseload of 15-17 patients
• Able to adapt and be flexible to new CMS regulations

Hospitalist Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• ACLS/BLS Certified
• Trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
• Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice

Salary Range

Starting from USD $165.00/Hr.
