Job summary

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Dietitian in Smithtown, NY. The role involves assessing patients' nutritional status, providing medical nutrition therapy, and documenting care in the EMR.

Interdisciplinary rounds and staff training are part of the duties. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Nutrition/Dietetics, RD eligibility with internship and exam, and 2–3 years of clinical experience. EPIC/CBORD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required; Master's degree and/or advanced certification preferred.
• Must have completed a post graduate supervised dietetic internship and passed the National Registration Examination to become an RD.
• 2–3 years clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC or CBORD preferred.

We are looking for a Per Diem Clinical Dietitian to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients' nutritional status and intervening with appropriate medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and/or diet education to improve,
• Maintaining or optimizing nutrition status and documents in the electronic medical record.
• Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and various committee meetings.
• Assisting in the orientation and training of new employees and participates in clinical education of dietetic interns from clinical affiliates

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, pro-active and customer-service focused
• 2-3 years clinical experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC/CBORD preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required; Master's Degree and/or advanced certification in nutrition preferred
• Must have completed a post graduate supervised, Commission on Dietetics Registration approved dietetic internship program and successfully passed the National Registration Examination for Dietitians to become a Registered Dietitian (RD)

Salary Range

USD $42.82 - USD $42.82 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
