Job summary

Sound Physicians in Fresno, California is seeking a nurse practitioner to join the hospitalist team. You will provide inpatient care in a closed ICU environment and collaborate with a large, diverse team at Community Regional Medical Center affiliated with UCSF Fresno.

The role supports 7 on/7 off scheduling with 12-hour day shifts (7 am–7 pm). Board-certified/eligible NPs with acute care certification are preferred, and California licensure is desired.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible nurse practitioners with acute care certification required.
• Active California license preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting with inpatient care is preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care in a closed ICU environment.
• Consulted only on medical issues. Psychiatry is the primary for all patients.
• Our patient population is diverse, so we are looking for a nurse practitioner who relishes the challenge of addressing a broad spectrum of patient needs.

Local Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with a team of 50 physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers at Community Regional Medical Center.
• Work alongside a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world. Become an integral member of the hospitalist team and community.
• Community Medical Centers is affiliated with UCSF Fresno, which offers training to residents and fellows.

Qualifications

Board-certified/eligible nurse practitioners with acute care certification required.

• FNP-trained nurses need to have at least one year of previous hospital medicine NP experience.
• Active California license preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting with inpatient care is preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.

• Full- or part-time, day-shift role.

Rewards and Compensation

• Annual compensation of $160,000 - $165,000 + bonuses, based on the number of shifts worked.
