Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in Missouri seeks a Hospitalist Medical Director to lead the Hospital Medicine team and oversee inpatient care in collaboration with Kansas City Physician Care.

The role emphasizes a 7 on/7 off block, 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm), with 20 patients per shift, open ICU, and no procedures, using Epic EMR for clinical documentation and coordination.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Internal Medicine is required.
• MD or DO with Missouri license or eligibility.
• Current DEA registration is required.
• BLS or ACLS certification is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Hospital Medicine team at St. Mary's Medical Center.
• Clinical leadership with 90% patient care and 10% admin tasks.
• Manage an open ICU and coordinate care across teams.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and orders.

Education

Board Certified in Internal Medicine

MD or DO with unrestricted Missouri medical license (or eligible)
