Fairview Health Services is hiring a Coder 2 Hospitalist Coding to join our Health Information Management team. This 1.0 FTE, full-time role offers an accessible benefits package and flexible work environment.

The coder will analyze clinical documentation, assign codes, and support revenue cycle across outpatient encounters and lab data. Ideal candidates have hospitalist coding/EM coding experience, strong terminology knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while

Qualifications

• Certificate program in Coding or A.A./A.S. in HIM with 1–3 years healthcare experience.
• Ambulatory coding and hospitalist coding experience preferred.
• Experience with E/M coding and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS codes per official guidelines.
• Abstract clinical data and ensure accurate reimbursement.
• Query physicians on documentation as needed.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards and meet deadlines.
• Assist in improving revenue cycle processes.
