Job summary

University Health Associates (UHA) in Morgantown, West Virginia, seeks an Advanced Practice Professional to deliver patient‑centered hospital care within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating inpatient management and discharge planning.

The APP will perform rounds, orders tests, interprets results, and collaborate with hospitalists and specialists, while teaching residents and students and upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for WV RN and APRN licensure.
• BLS with ALS training as required by department.
• ACNP/AGACNP preferred; FNPs considered.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s PA training; ARC-PA program; NCCPA cert.
• WV licensure or eligibility; BLS/ALS required.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive care for hospitalized patients and plans disposition.
• Performs rounds and pre-procedure evaluations.
• Completes integrated assessments and documents findings.
• Orders tests and consults per established guidelines.
• Communicates results and collaborates with staff and clinicians.
• Assists in discharge planning and outpatient follow-up coordination.
• Teaches residents and students and maintains clinical competencies.
