Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider to join our inpatient care team. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care with cross-coverage for nights and telemedicine-assisted overnight shifts across facilities in the Pacific Northwest.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, document thoroughly in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and social workers to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1+ year inpatient hospitalist experience as ARNP/PA is required.
• Current, unrestricted license in Washington State, DEA, and NPI.
• Extremely flexible and adaptable.
• Perform evaluation and management services for hospitalist patients.
• Develop treatment plans for admitted patients.
• Complete admissions from the ED.
• Dictation of H&P examinations.
• Remain within NP/PA scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate acute and chronic conditions following evidence-based protocols.
• Assess and treat acute deteriorations (sepsis, respiratory distress) and provide cross-coverage for daytime team.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Ensure timely, accurate medical charting and billing records using EPIC.
• Provide and document direct treatment, including ordering meds and referrals.

As our Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider, you will join our collegial health-care team providing inpatient care. The role offers diverse work environments, encompassing in-person night coverage at a tertiary regional referral center, telemedicine-assisted overnight cross-coverage and patient evaluation, and in-person night coverage at a critical access hospital.

Pay Range

$164,000 - $196,900 /year
