Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Center for Hope Violence Intervention Programs, located at Grace Medical Center in Baltimore, provides direct services through education, advocacy and coordination for individuals affected by violence. The role collaborates with MONSE Safe Streets and PAAVE to extend psychosocial support.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma/GED preferred
• Experience: 1-3 years experience with trauma informed care and advocacy, knowledge in elder abuse, human trafficking and sexual assault, crisis intervention and safety planning skills, familiarity with legal system in terms of restraining orders, elder protection laws, victim compensation and immigration relief options.
• Must have DOMESTIC VIOLENCE EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

• Meets victims and loved ones following violent injury, assesses social and psychosocial barriers and safety and retaliation risks associated with the patient.
• Maintains information on available community resources, makes appropriate and timely referrals for services and provides ongoing coordination of needed services.
• Maintains all necessary documentation required by hospital, department, and funder.
• In collaboration with other Center for Hope Program staff, provides information and referral to community at large, as well as individual patients.
