Job summary

Petco is hiring a Veterinarian to support in-clinic care and client education across our Vetco Total Care hospital network. You will provide comprehensive medical services, diagnose, treat, and guide patients with empathy, while collaborating with staff to ensure high-quality care.

The position involves performing routine surgeries and dental work, maintaining records, and engaging with clients to promote wellbeing for pets and their families. Minimum DVM with active license is required.

Qualifications

• DV M degree and active state licensure required.
• Current DEA license and CDS license if applicable.
• USDA accreditation or ability to obtain within two months.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care to patients according to standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients and hospital staff.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate with specialists as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow practice protocols.
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with Hospital Office Manager to ensure care quality.
